Why choose to play an X-it escape game?

Crafted by a passionate team of creatives with a hunger for puzzles we have been striving to create a fully immersive multi sensory escape game experience. Combining specialist technology with an eye for design to deliver a strong narrative and maximum surprises… Sick of padlock after padlock come give this a try!

How many people can make up a team?

This escape game is best enjoyed in groups of 3-5 players.

What is a live escape game?

You and your team will be locked within the escape game space for one hour. There will be a series of clues and riddles which will lead your team to puzzles and challenges.  Solve these and you will move through the game and find your way out. Think Crystal Maze meets Fort Boyard.

Will I be scared?  Am I safe?

Our escape games are intended to get your heart pumping with an atmosphere and some scares which are not for the faint of heart.  However, the experience is designed with your safety as a priority and all teams are monitored by staff at all times. Should you wish to leave at any point during the experience simply alert our staff who will be able to show you the way out.

What do I need to bring and what do I wear?

Just bring yourself with your brain in gear!  Everything you need for the experience will be supplied. We recommend you wear comfortable shoes and clothing that you can move easily in.

Taking part in an X-it escape game requires all participants to be physically active and be agile enough to navigate crawl spaces, ramps, foot holes and uneven steps without handrails. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the game, it is not wheelchair accessible.

Part of the game requires the ability to hear in order to progress. Also a sounds will be made to alert your team to clues being given therefore it is advisable to have one or more team member who are fully hearing. If your team consists of any hard of hearing individuals please make us aware at booking so we can provide you with transcripts to aid your involvement in the game.

If you or any of your team members are partially sighted or have visual impairments please do get in touch beforehand. We will be more than happy to discuss any modifications we may be able to make to ensure the escape game is as accessible for you as possible.

We would love to make this escape game experience open to anyone who wishes to take part therefore if you have any particular requirements please get in touch beforehand. We are more than happy to talk to you a little more about the experience and we will do our best to accommodate any special requirements.

What age do players have to be?

Due to the nature of the game we would advise it is not suitable for anyone under the age of 12. All 12 - 16 year olds must be accompanied by someone 18 or over.

How do I find you? Where can I park?

Follow a Sat Nav to BD18 3SP.  This will take you to Atkinson's Street car park where it is free to park after 6pm Monday to Saturday and on a Sunday. From the car park simply turn left on Commercial Street (this is the main road) and you will find us on the left.

Free parking during the day can be found on surrounding streets.

Arriving by Train or on foot?

We are less than a 5 minute walk from Shipley Train Station and a 10 minute walk from Saltaire village.
